Me playing Lilly Adventure (Atari 2600) for almost an hour
What you're seeing here is me playing Lilly Adventure, a Bobby Is Going Home clone from Home Vision, which was a subsidiary of Gem International Corporation. Like Bobby, the game has Lilly walking & jumping throughout various screens, dodging the enemies that come at her way. This time, we have an early instance of a platformer starring a female character, before the likes of Metroid or even Flicky... though either of those games(or the original Bobby Is Going Home) would honestly be a better experience than this game. It starts out promising enough, & impressively features TIA renditions of various public domain tunes(though they're rather annoying compared to the more charming tune in BIGH), but then it gets harder, & more frustrating, with moments where it just seems impossible to progress because of either going at the wrong time or poor level design or whatever other obstacles being in the way at annoying times.
Thankfully, your lives are infinite, meaning that you can try that one screen as much as you like. Unfortunately, it just became an ENDURANCE TEST by around 20 minutes & my patience got me far until the game wouldn't let me move anymore(apparently I had reached the end of the game? Maybe it's a glitch? Who knows?). I personally don't think that ChaCha from Akazukin ChaCha, as kind of a person she is, would be THAT patient: she would've quitted around the 35 minute mark because of the annoying music & the screens getting more & more frustrating! Oh & Lilly doesn't go home in this game. Apparently this is just one INCREDIBLY long adventure!
What I'm saying is... it's not as fun as Bobby Is Going Home. But neither is it one of the worst games on the 2600. Warplock is MUCH WORSE in my honest humble opinion.
