Sanae Kotiya (she has a funny last name) is the Stage 5 boss of the game Mountain of Faith, the 10th installment of the Touhou Project. The Touhou Project is a series of danmaku shooters I really not feel like talking about at this moment. For more information on the series, look at the link at the end of this description.

Like every thing that has matter and occupies space in Gensokyo, Sanae has a power. Her power is the power to cause miracles. In other words, she's like Jesus... more or less... Some of her attacks do make reference to the Bible though. Now, unlike most of the other things in Gensokyo, there is an explanation behind Sanae's power over miracles. Sanae's the descendant of the goddess Suwako Moriya (yes, the loli had a baby somewhere in her lifetime), so that means she's half-goddess. Well, she would be half-goddess if she was the direct descendant of Suwako at least.

Sanae is an interesting character since she is from the outside world. This meaning she's not originally from Gensokyo. She is from our world, the one outside Gensokyo, the modern world (spooky). Case being this led many fans to try and depict how her life was before moving to Gensokyo. The most memorable and heartwarming for me is the doujin called "Kochiya-ke" by Kagero, depicting Kanako and Suwako assisting to an Open School Day at Sanae's school, much too Sanae's dismay (only that not). It also shows how the goddesses convinced (or tricked) Sanae into coming to Gensokyo. Entertaining read may I add.

I decided to upload this because since I already uploaded both Kanako and Suwako, I might as well upload the third member of the Moriya family (it is called the Moriya Shrine). What makes Sanae a challenging opponent is mainly that her attacks hitting or not is decided by pixels more than the other bosses, in my opinion.

We will be seeing more of Sanae in the future since she is Koishi's midboss. Which reminds me, I already defeated Koishi, but Fraps hates SA and SA hates my computer, so I need to see how I will do this recording thing without the massive slowdown. Probably will end up recording without sound, speed up the video and finally add some metal remix of the theme to make you forget there is no SFX sound in the video...

Fun Facts:
-Sanae is the first 5 stage boss that is not the stage 6 midboss in the Window Touhou series
-Sanae is a good girl.
