"Summon of the youkai's summon. Cherry tree was already in bloom fully. However, Japanese heart is not satisfied yet."

So here we have me surviving, effectively may I add, Perfect Cherry Blossom's extra stage, which is apparently named "Summon of the youkai's summon". Very apt name... Check the link at the end of description for info on the Touhou Project series of game, yada, yada...

In this endless staircase we have both Chen Yakumo and Ran Yakumo making a rather formidable stand against the equally formidable Sakuya Izayoi. The stage is... well... hard compared to other Extra Stages. For some reason the mid-bosses of these kind of stages are very difficult (except for Kanako) and Chen is no different. While she only has two spells and a non-spell, they are not exactly easy to dodge. They are easier than, say, Patchouli's (IMO), but still challenging. And every now and then they get you. Doesn't really matter, by the time I got to Ran's penultimate spell (second time), I already became an expert in the stage.

For Chen herself, she is apparently one of the cutest (and deadliest) characters in Touhou, since even Ran gets nosebleeds when she does anything. Ran, Chen's motherly figure, gets nosebleed from seeing her daughter figure. I always hated that interpretation, is disturbing in an inverse Electra complex kind of way.

Nothing we can do about it, cats are cute by definition... except for this one cat I met today while I was eating. He was looking at me hungrily (and ugly) and my friend joked that I should take it home with me. I responded by looking at the cat and saying "Nah, that cat is ugly." It had like a problem in his teeth. Reminded me of an Igor...

In conclusion, the stage is challenging, but no more challenging than the bosses themselves. Practice makes perfection in a game that revolves around patterns most of the time. Also, "Chen" means "orange" as in the color. Very important.
