Let's play Spacebase Startopia! Here we look at the Spacebase Startopia campaign mission 5 - First Contact!

Mission 5 of the Spacebase Startopia campaign introduces you to the Research and combat gameplay and introduces new buildings, such as the laboratory, and also introduces a new species of alien, the Eurekas. The aim of mission 5 of Spacebase Startopia is to set up a research centre and to defeat the alien species on the bio deck. To beat mission 5, first contact, you need to get a security station and make a mech to kill the Maggot Mother.

I encountered a lot of game bugs in this mission which almost made me quite playing spacebase startopia.

There are 10 campaign missions in total, this Let's play series will have them all. Release date 26th March 2021!

In this Let's play series, we will be working our way through all of the campaign missions and perhaps trying multiplayer and skirmish modes before i finish with a full game review.

Spacebase Startopia is a fun game to play and i was very much a fan of the old startopia game from 2004. In this review, I introduce you to the game, look at the different game modes such as multiplayer, campaign and skirmish. I also have a look at the different decks of the spacebase which included the sub-deck, the fun deck and the bio deck. We then explore the controls and the different menus within spacebase startopia and finish off by giving you my final thoughts on the game. I can't foresee spacebase startopia multiplayer being a success and feel it has been added just to tick a box as a selling point.

SPACEBASE STARTOPIA captivates with its original mixture of economic simulation and empire building strategy paired with classic RTS skirmishes and a good dose of humor. Each of the three Decks will require your leadership skills, with the Sub Deck containing all of the Rooms vital to survival, while the Fun Deck focuses on your visitors and the flora and fauna found on the Bio Deck provides sufficient Resources for survival as well as a home to the graceful Dryads.
Prevail against your competitors, for you are not alone on the Space Station. Sabotage your opponents' economy or attack them with your Mech Units, conduct trade and beware of Space Pirates eager to board your Station.
The dynamic narrator AI “VAL” reacts to your decisions and is always at your side in both word and deed – and the occasional extremely unqualified comment.
In addition to the extensive single player Campaign, an individually configurable sandbox mode as well as both a competitive and a cooperative multiplayer mode for up to four players awaits you.
