It has begun!! Man it's good to be playing this again. I recommend you watch my intro bit, as this game means a lot to me, and I try to share and explain that during the intro. Also yeah, "totally great start", we uh...we crashed twice during this playthrough xD. But we still got through it! Hopefully things'll be smoother from now on.

Music used (in order that they appear):

Cybernetika & Xenofish - Formation
MechWarrior 2 - Installation Theme
Timothy Seals - Silent Thunder (Cover)
Shivaxi's totally rad beat boxing skillz
B-Complex - One Way To Go

==============================

Okay, like I said, I know people will be asking me about this, so I'm putting it here:

How I got MechWarrior 3 working:

1. It will all depend on your hardware for the most part, so I'll write my specs down here:

-Windows 7 64bit
-i7 950 @ 3.8ghz
-Nvidia GTX 680
-24gb's RAM

2. Limit the game to 60 fps. You HAVE to do this, no matter what system you're on. The engine isn't designed to handle anything above that, and frame rates over 60 is the main cause for a good portion of the issues. For Nvidia users, you can limit the FPS using Nvidia Inspector.

3. You'll see a lot of people say to run compatibility mode, but you don't have to, at least not on Windows 7. I can't say about other OS's. On Windows 7 though, what I found to be the most stable is running no compatibility, but running Shadowplay in the background at all times (Nvidia only). For some reason this seems to stabilize the game, having Shadowplay hooked into the render, and prevents crashes that can happen at 1024x768 resolution. If you still crash, try lowering the resolution in game to 800x600, as I found a lot of crashes were tied to 1024x768, particularly when objects get to close to your screen, like running into a mech or being shot directly in the cockpit.

4. Finally, there's 2 issues I haven't worked out, the rainbow colors and time warping issues. The rainbow colors seem to appear rarely on their own, but almost always if I try minimizing the game and re-maximizing. So a simple game restart tends to fix this. The time warping however I'm not sure. I tried under-clocking my CPU which seemed to work at first, but then I realized that just restarting my computer in general would fix the time warping issue, even with my CPU overclocked to 3.8ghz. So for these issues, you might just have to play around.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I'm also running the 1.2 patch which you should probably install as well, plus there's some alternate ways to try getting the game to run if my methods above don't work that you can check out here: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/MechWarrior_3

So that's about all I did really! Again this will be very hardware dependent, so all I can say for sure is that this works with Nvidia graphics cards, and Windows 7. Anything else I can't say, and I know from what I've heard that AMD has all sorts of other issues entirely (though I believe there's a fix for this online if you google).
