I've recently decided to pick up and play this MMOFPS game (partially because I've been a fan of MechWarrior since MW2), and while I do find that the game has a number of annoying (though not crippling) glitches that are present, and while I personally dislike having to grind my way to get the mechs and equipment that I want, I'm enjoying the game so far. Since I'm not quite experienced with FPS games in general, I decided to lend a hand in the supporting role (where pinpoint accuracy isn't all that needed).

Towards this end, I decided to purchase a Raven-3L, which comes with ECM. While I originally regretted purchasing the Raven at 1st (since I kept on dying, despite having ECM, forcing me to return to using powerful trial mechs such as the Stalker-3F(C)), I started to figure out ways in which I could use it to stealthily spot for our team's LRM boats. Since I'm a fan of playing the roles of the scout and LRM boat, I decided to outfit my Raven with a Guardian ECM, LRM15 with Artemis, an XL 295 for max speed, and a TAG for painting distant targets that are under the cover of enemy ECM. (Although an LRM may seem odd for a Raven, I find that it helps against other light mechs.)

This video demonstrates how an ECM-equipped scout mech can turn the tide of battle by infiltrating behind enemy lines, and locking onto targets from the sides or rear undetected (for the most part). You'll see that I try to prioritize enemy light mechs, LRM boats, ECM-equipped mechs, and mechs that are close to the front lines over others.
