The animation for Hunting Lodge, Woodsged, Fisherman hut and others are only "animation" and does not synchronize in real time the work they are assign to.

Meaning, even if they AFK, they are still working ( invisible work ) and you still get your end-product at the end of the day.

The total amount of Product you get has nothing to do with their animation but more with the Skill levels and happiness. You can make them happy different ways including giving them a house, food, water, shelter, insulating their houses, crafting asthetic furniture. Etc

As they level up, their productivity will also get higher.

The only exception is the Farmshed fields. For this profession, every workers works "in real time" and all farming task is applied "on the go ". Why? Because farming crops is closer to your village at the same place and they don't need to go "outside" the village to work. All task ( plowing, sowing, fertilizing, harvesting ) are all done at the same place.

So the animation is relevant in this situation and can be synchronized with what their work progress in real time.
