9As my armies march up the causeway to Venice, they attack the scout force outside the walls! The Venice garrison joins the fray, so I must crush the first army before turning my wrath upon the upjumped garrison. With luck, victory on the field will leave the city of Venice completely undefended!
In this series I'm going to be attempting to return the Eastern Roman, or Byzantine, Empire to a place of glory. Surrounded by pagans, Muslim Turks, and filthy Venetians, I will have to seize Roman land at the point of a sword!
