This is now seemingly possible on console. This is much harder to do than the method done on epsxe, and other emulators. To do this trick you must open your inventory on a very specific frame, while being in a spot that will prevent the camera from panning over to the center of the arena before the cutscene. The goal essentially is to have the inventory open with the cutscene active without making any sort of interaction with the camera towards zarok in the room. Buffering the inventory over and over seems to help with getting the glitch to work. If you at all go past the center of the room the game will crash.
