Meet Momo: Easton LaChappelle's inspiration
Nine-year-old Momo, born without a right forearm and hand, excels in school and athletics, from improvising poetry to riding horses. Since the age of 4, she has used a basic prosthetic model with limited movement, a hook-and-pully system for an arm and hand. When asked what her dreams were, without hesitation, Momo said she wanted an arm with fingers that move. Now, Momo is the first recipient of a technology developed by 21-year-old robotics engineer Easton LaChappelle that could impact millions of people all over the world.
