Mega Bomberman was released in 1994 on the Sega Mega Drive and was the only Bomberman game to grace Sega's 16-bit machine.

Mega Bomberman was a port of the Japan exclusive PC Engine game Bomberman 94, with its original developers Hudson Soft licensing the port to Westone Co. famous for creating the Wonder Boy series.

Bomberman is best described as a strategic maze game where your objective is to take out the enemies with your bombs while avoiding being burned yourself.

The game is split into two game modes, the normal game acts as the single player story mode and the battle game is the game's multiplayer arena mode.

The normal game opens by introducing you to the bomber world that is promptly split into 5 pieces. You are tasked with bringing the world by together by collecting fragments of the 5 spirit pictures, that, once collected will return the Bomber world back to normal

You find the fragments by exploring the levels and destroying the core mechanisms, once you do this it will unlock the next room or if you are in the final room you will free the fragment from its bubble allowing you to grab it and complete the stage.

Once each of the spirit pictures are completed you will be faced with a boss, these range from crabs and bats, to a monkey controlling a giant robotic banana.

Throughout the adventure you will have a number of power ups at your disposal such as speed shoes, extra bombs and best of all the eggs.

The eggs will hatch into a "Louie" animal mounts that your bomber rides that resemble kangaroos. There are 5 colour variations each with it's own useful skill, well all except the pink one. They, em, the can dance?

If you are less interested in the solo adventure and have some friends the battle mode is more for you. This mode is a traditional Bomberman deathmatch, last man standing wins affair. Choose your character skin, select a level and battle! This is great to play with friends!

So that was Mega Bomberman a fun title that just oozes with Hudson Soft’s cutesy charm. If you haven't already blow up that subscribe button and I have been Chastastic of Chastastic Gaming and you have a fantastic day. Bye.
