Original text:
I have done a NTSC mod to my Mega Drive II (using various guides found online - basically cutting appropriate trace to PAL / NTSC select pin, causing it to no longer be tied to ground). Plus I replaced main crystal oscillator with a NTSC one (53.693175 MHz). It seems to work - to an extent. I get 60 Hz, but the colors over Composite seem off. Yellows and blues seem almost OK, but reds are lacking (0:38 High Scores should have red background). There is also visible rainbow effect.
The issue looks the same on an LCD display with composite input, USB recording device and also an old CRT television.
