At long last, I can upload these! These videos are all months-old gameplay, but my computer wasn't powerful enough to record MM11 at an acceptable framerate. A friend let me borrow their stronger computer for this, and I'm super grateful!

So, what is the Kirby Challenge? I'm glad you asked. This challenge treats special weapons like the copy abilities from Kirby- once you have one, that's what you get to use. In practice, this means you have to make a single bar of ammo last through each stage. Planning your path through the game is important to make sure your intended next stage is possible with whatever weapon you'd be stuck with.

It also means you get intimately familiar with the ins and outs, strengths and weaknesses of each weapon. That's the fun part!

We start with Block Man's stage (much to my disappointment) on account of the stage's two midbosses, the boss's midboss, the dozens of brittle walls placed in your way, and the complete absence of weapon refills. Making it through this with any single weapon is utterly impossible, thus, it's our starting point. It's also a great place to show off the game's Double Gear system, which I will be using throughout on account of it being fun. For those not in the know, it provides your choice of two boosts that share a cooldown meter- activating Power Gear strengthens your weapons significantly (in the buster's case, all of your shots come out twice- even charged shots!), and activating Speed Gear slows Mega down a little and everything else down a lot, improving your timing and granting you a relative speed boost.
