So basically after you fight the 8 masters you have to fight this other guy called "Doc Robot." His deal is that he's all 8 robot masters form Mega Man 2 rolled into one, so every time you fight him, you're fighting a harder version of that robot master from 2. This is one of those parts of Mega Man 3 that I don't like. First of all, it's filler content. This is just a mini boss rush, even though everyone knows we're going to have to do another boss rush of the masters in this game. Secondly, it's stupidly difficult. The bosses attack damage are ramped up to a ridiculous degree. For example, in Mega Man 2, when Quick Man deals contact damage to you, he deals 4 damage; in Mega Man 3, he deals 8. That's double the amount of damage Quick Man is doing in 3 than he was in 2. Quick Man is also fast, so do you know where the majority of his damage is coming from? That's right! CONTACT DAMAGE! Mega Man only has 20 hp, this means that Quick Man only needs to tackle him 3 times to kill him. 3 TIMES. I don't like how they buffed Quick Man, Metal Man was left alone (I'm pretty sure), and his fight is roughly the same difficulty as his fight from 2 (which is not a cakewalk, but a fun challenge). Another issue with this whole Doc Robot thing is that Mega Man 3 has a worse weapon selection that 2 (in my opinion). The robot masters from 2 were also not balanced around the weapons from 3 (which is understandable), however using the weapons on the previous robot masters feels awkward. The point I'm trying to make here is that how am I supposed to use Search Snake, a ground crawling weapon, against Quick Man, who spends most of his time IN THE AIR. Finally, do you know what you get for beating Doc Robot? You get nothing. I would feel a little bit better if I got the weapon of the robot master I just beat, but you get rewarded with literal silence. "Congratulations! Almost all of this game is completely meaningless!" I should really start do reviews of each Mega Man game, I have a lot to say about each one and could probably write one if I sat down and did it.
Anyways, let me know what you guys think in the comments, but since no one does even when I ask, this is all sort of redundant.
