Mega Man Legends 2 (English Debug Prototype) | July 12, 2000 Prototype
In collaboration with Protodude, for all Mega Man Legends fans, this is video footage of an English debug prototype of Mega Man Legends 2, dated July 12, 2000. I show all the crazy shit you could ever do with the various debug functions the prototype offers. Only Japanese voice dialogue exists in this build, as English voices weren't either inserted or recorded yet; You too can have fun with this prototype as well: http://okeijidragon.blogspot.com/2015/03/prototype-time-mega-man-legends-2.html
NOTE:
A lot of the scenes you see didn't have any SFX or sometimes any audio on them because the XA audio (which are the game's voice dialogue and streamed music) would eventually run out (because the XA audio is sequenced/choreographed to in-game cut-scene animation, and those overlap the sound effects themselves) and I'd have a soundless clip. Sometimes, I would just overlap the soundless clips over the parts that had the Japanese voice dialogue and audio.
Leaving them in as it were would have been boring, so I decided to have fun with them by splicing in other music from other games and anime. No sound effects were edited out or inserted, only left alone.
One thing I should mention is that the debug's Game Over screen doesn't have the "To Be Continued..." track from Rockman DASH 2: Episode 1; that was something I inserted in for entertainment purposes. Same as the Samurai Champloo, Metal Gear Solid, Chrono Trigger, EarthBound and Star Fox tracks. Actually, now that I copy and paste this text here, the Reflection Room theme (10:45) from Legends 1 is spliced in as well.
