Mega Man Mega Monitor Mega Montage - RGB Monitor Madness
An anon a week or two back wanted to see my attic setup in action, and this is the result. A lack of enough cabling and proper switching equipment really keeps this from operating as well as it could be, but it should give a decent idea of what's doable. Video from 29:45 onward is 1080p footage scaled up to 4k; I have no way currently to record native 4k video, let alone the patience to actually render at that resolution.

Displays are, from left to right:
Sony KV-32FS13 - Consumer SDCRT (Composite Video)
Sony KV-27HS420 - Consumer HDCRT (Component Video)
Olympus OEV203 - Rebadge of Sony PVM-20M2MDU RGB Monitor (Transcoded RGBS from Component and native RGBS)
Mitsubish XC-3730c "Megaview Pro 37" - Multisync RGB Presentation Monitor (Transcoded RGBS from Component and native RGBS)
Little bits on each TV/Monitor:
32FS13 - Due to a neglect, actually looks a bit soft in person but came out really well in the recording. Also, NTSC really screws the pooch on reds here.
27HS420 - Aside from deinterlacing/scaling, looks really good via both Component and Composite, but position of the sets in relation to the cameras gave it a bum deal here. Wish I could have gotten composite to it somehow so it wouldn't have been so left out in latter portions of the video.
OEV203 - Looks a bit dark in the video, but this was done specifically to keep it from peaking visually and coming out over blown which end up happening slightly in a few cases anyway. Under normal settings, quite a nice bit brighter than the Megaview
Megaview - She's purrdy. Oldest of the bunch, but will out do any of the others in terms of resolution and obviously the largest as well. Even when displaying SD, the picture looks absolutely fantastic
Can't say I'm fantastic at all of the games featured, but this is more to give an idea of how everything looks running at once than some highlight reel of my playing ability. I am pretty poop at classic Mega Man though.
LASTLY: Video on the left is actually ~1 frame ahead of the right, at least on the first portion of video(MMZ3, X8, MM9). Despite repeated attempts, I could not manage to get 100% perfect sync between the two recordings. This actually works to the benefit in having everything synced together better since while it puts the 32FS13 1 frame ahead of the PVM and Megaview, it also means that the HS420 is only ~1/2 frames behind.
PS.:
A 1080p version of just the right camera sets will be up with in the next day or so for those who wish to view those in higher resolution but do not have access to a 4K monitor.
