We haven't streamed any classic Mega Man yet so lets head back to the NES days and play Mega Man! I haven't played through the NES series since the Mega Man Anniversary Collection released on Game Cube so we'll see how this goes. Also we'll try to complete a few Retro Achievements along the way.
STORY
The story begins with Dr. Thomas Light and Dr. Albert W. Wily, true geniuses in the world of robotics and engineering. Dr. Light formed a laboratory with the ambition to use technology to benefit mankind, creating robots who were human-like with artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, Dr. Wily, who assisted Dr. Light, secretly tired of being one step behind his colleague, constructed a secret laboratory with ambitions to conquer the world.
Dr. Light was able to reach his goal by creating Proto Man, a robot unlike anything the world had ever seen; a robot with a true sense of independence, one that made him much like human beings. When it came to light that Proto Man had a faulty power generator, Proto Man misunderstood his Dr. Light's intentions to correct the problem, thinking that repairing him would take away his individuality. Because of this, he escaped from the lab and resented Dr. Light.
Dr. Light continued his work and later created a pair of robots, hoping that the two would work together. It was thus that Rock and Roll were born; Rock became the lab's new assistant and Roll became a housekeeper. With the success of this project, Dr. Light went on to create six more robots for the purposes of industrial assistance, Cut Man, Guts Man, Ice Man, Bomb Man, Fire Man, and Elec Man. However, Dr. Wily finally had enough of living in the shadow of his former colleague and with Dr. Light's reception of the Nobel Prize droving Dr. Wily over the edge, he realized the potential of robots built with true intelligence and the thought that they could be used for other means.
Dr. Wily secretly reprogrammed all six of Dr. Light's industrial robots and uses them to take over the city. Dr. Light soon discovered that his former colleague was to blame for the robots attacking the city, and with an army of intelligent and powerful robots on the loose, Dr. Light knew that the world was not ready to deal with such a new challenge. It was then that Dr. Light reluctantly converted his lab assistant, Rock, into a robot of unimaginable potential and a sense of justice. Dr. Light equipped Rock with special armor and the Mega Buster, thus Rock became known as Mega Man and set out to stop Dr. Wily and his robot army.
