It's nice to be back. Back to making videos, and back to Mega Man Unlimited. This game has had a few considerable changes in V1.2.0. I'll address each of the major ones in separate videos but for now, we have a new robot master to deal with.

The original cast of the Mega Man Unlimited robot masters was missing the de facto water boss, thus Whirlpool Man was born. He looks like a mixture of Air Man and Napalm Man to be. I like him, though I can't get over how much bigger his sprite is than Mega Man.

His stage is actually a fairly enjoyable one. Comparing it to the other water stage of the game (Wily 2), it's definitely less spike-happy and overcrowded with enemies. In terms of difficulty compared the other eight bosses, I would probably place it on the higher end of the spectrum, among the likes of Yoku Man, Trinitro Man and Jet Man. The whirlpools throughout the stage elevate you off the ground but give you free horizontal movement. They love to push you into spikes and force you to time your drops into other whirlpools carefully. The red mines scattered throughout the stage can be dangerous, but not nearly as dangerous or in the way as you might expect. They're never obnoxiously placed (except for maybe one or two near the end) so I don't have too much trouble with them.

The mini boss is arguably the most interesting part of this stage, which is saying a lot. It reverts between shielding and exposing its weak point while firing horizontal shots at varying altitudes and releasing a danmaku spread every few seconds. The key is to attack right after a danmaku spread and stay in roughly one location constantly. If a low shot is coming for you when the danmaku spread comes, it's a good idea to run away and jump through the nearest gap in the spread. The second encounter is slightly more challenging due to the seahorses entering the fray, but they are more of the nuisance than anything, probably one of the few distasteful things about this stage. Aside from that, this stage is excellent. I thoroughly enjoy it and I'd love to see more DLC stages.

Of course, we also have Whirlpool Man himself. His pattern is very easy to grasp and after a while, becomes fairly repetitive if I'm honest. There's enough variety and randomness in this battle however to keep it from being either monotonous or cheap. I tend to prioritise the low mines since that way, you'll likely not be struck by horizontal energy balls. A good tactic is to use Rainbow Beam where he appears to suck in the mines, since it stops them exploding. Overall, a fun, if fairly long fight.

The Water Cannon is pretty neat. Actually, it's very neat. It has a high damage output and reasonably high weapon energy. It destroys mini bosses and larger enemies alike. It also works as a weakness for Jet Man, but doesn't go through walls and has limited range. Speaking of Jet Man, he now seems to have a wind effect when flying under you. I'll have to show it off, But I Will Upload the Other Fan Game video I'll inevitably put up, but that's for another day.

I Will Upload The Other Mega Man Fangames After This Stage, Anyway, By The Annotations Removed By Youtube Creators 2nd May, I Can't Make The Annotations Anymore For The Other Fan Games
