This is part of a Minimalist No-Damage playthrough of Mega Man X2. This means the following constraints:
- X takes no damage.
- The only allowed weapon is the X-Buster.
- No items of any kind may be obtained (upgrades, heart / sub tanks, etc).
- In addition, I've opted to keep a decent pace so that the videos are enjoyable to watch :)
The first stage isn't too difficult. Some minor acrobatics are helpful for the sections with the closing walls, but the real challenge comes from Violen.
Boss begins: 1:10
Without Bubble Splash available, charged X-Buster shots are the best option (DUX only deal 1 damage here). The best advice I can give is to use the yellow "blocks" he spawns as shields from the giant mace ball. Fortunately Violen drops quickly from a steady dose of charged shots.
