Mega Man X3 Minimalist Speed Run - Final Stage
4Part 13 of the MMX3 minimalist speed run.
This is a segmented speed run through Mega Man X3, in it's entirety, under the following restrictions; no weapons, no upgrades, no damage sustained under any circumstance, and no use of Zero (outside of a forced section in the Intro Stage segment.)
Well, we've made it to the end, and I haven't died. I guess we can consider that a victory. The final final final section of stage is nothing special, so Sigma is the clear focus here. His first phase is a pain, that much is evident. It's like a throwback to the Yellow Devil before the X series got a Devil. The pattern of fireballs is seriously precise and one mis-input can spell death for your run. Thankfully, his second phase, in contrast, is somehow even slower than X1 Sigma. Kaiser Sigma will attack with missiles or lasers depending on his position on the screen. The missiles do insane damage, but their patterns are easy to dodge. The lasers are interesting because rather than causing a set amount of damage, they'll instead drain X's life as he stands in them. Besides these two attacks his battle body will also shit out mines that tend to fly wherever. They're annoying, but also not very durable. Overall, an annoying segment, but in the face of what we've gotten through to make it hear, I'll cut my losses and happily end on a stage that isn't nearly as hard as the last.
That concludes the MMX3 minimalist speed run. This was an incredibly fun and fulfilling project to endure, and I hope you enjoyed it. Take care.
