Mega Man X4 Minimalist/No Damage Challenge - Final Weapon
0For the final normal level of the game, Final Weapon certainly delivers. This stage is a pain, plain and simple. The first area is full of ways to fuck up. The missile firing enemies being stuffed into such a packed area is just annoying, and the laser enemies don't make it much easier. Thankfully, the boss that precedes this area is a total joke. Double really is a complete package. Lunge attack that you can dodge with your eyes closed, a pathetic desperation attack, and my favorite, a projectile with hit detection so bad, you can jump between two of the sons of bitches and come out unharmed. The second part of the stage is the real money maker. The fly gunners have to dealt with exactly, or one of the blasts will hit you without fail. If you're too slow or miss a shot, you are pretty much fucked. There's also the god damn missile enemies who return and are just as painful to deal with here. Thankfully, it's a short section and is followed by a boss who shouldn't provide much of anything. He may be big, but he's lacking in attacks and overall threat. Fitting since his Repliforce boy toy doesn't put up much of a fight either. Next is the final stage, so three cheers for closure.
