Mega Man Zero- This Game Hates You
34Maybe that's too hyperbolic, maybe they just made a lot of bad decisions with this one, but the first Mega Man Zero can be hard to play. And while the rest of the series gradually improves upon the formula, like you'd hope and expect, this is a bit of a difficult starting point. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, and begin at the beginning. This series is notorious for being difficult and given that it's by Inti Creates, that does check out. Then again, maybe this is where they got that reputation. This is a Mega Man game, so while the core gameplay of platformer where you jump, shoot, and sometimes slash is the same, it really changes a lot of things up, with all it's new mechanics like the Cyber Elves and leveling up your weapons, as well as it's greater focus on story. It's also a series I love, so let's break all this down and try to decide if it's the sort of thing that anyone should try, or if there's something terribly wrong with me.
