MEGAMAN 20XX 〜戦え！TEAM SHACHI playthrough | Cancelled official game
1Limited timed official game based on Megaman/ Rockman 2. It was a collaboration with Japanese pop group Team Shachi, who made a song to play along to the tune of the first Wily stage of Megaman 2. Playable on Web browser, IOS, and android. Game was closed down on 31st of August 2023.
This is an incredibly tough game. Much harder than the original games. It's completely auto scrolling and does so very quickly so there is little margin for error or mistiming. Most errors end up with a death, meaning you have to start the whole thing again. Like any old game, when you get to a new hazard, you die and learn from your mistakes. The trouble with this is that you never get to the same point every time because you will likely die at another point before you get there. You still die on hazards that you have cleared a hundred times before.
The major problem is the controls. You have to change weapons on the fly and the weapons are dedicated to the first 4 letters of the keyboard - Q,W,E,R. This sounds simple enough but I never got used to it. The amount of times I died because of selecting the wrong weapon was probably half.
This is a very short game but it still took me about 4 hours of attempts, even with the luxury of being able to study another playthrough video in half speed.
It didn't need to be this punishing but for some reason I could not stop playing it. Even the music never got annoying. After an hour without a break, I actually started to get worse at this game. It really breaks your brain.
It's great how the game goes exactly in time with the music but this does force a unskippable mid-game cut-scene. They really should have put a checkpoint after this cut-scene.
It's odd that they even made this collaboration but what's more strange is that they made it harder than any Megaman, knowing that half the people playing won't be Megaman veterans.

All your favorite characters from “MEGA MAN 2” are back in action! They might be older, but tougher than ever!
Metalman
Although his beard is quite impressive, his “Metal Blade” has rusted noticeably.
Airman
He modified himself into a tank, and always seem to be panting from lack of air.
Bubbleman
He now needs the IV drip to shoot the bubbles.
Quickman
Doesn't look so quick anymore. Don't ever bother asking his weight!
Crashman
The silky white beard has become his tradmark. Seems to have trouble getting his bombs to crash.
Flashman
His head has become quite flashy. Needs glasses to protect his eyes from all the dazzle.
Heatman
Went through a lot, and now he can't go anywhere without his bottle of booze.
Woodman
He's become an old tree, and can't go anywhere without his stick. His heart hasn't withered yet though.
