**INTRO**
Hey, what is up guys, Mrfmfilms here, and today i'm going to be teaching you the intricacies of and advanced techniques for fox's shine in Super smash bros melee and project m

**SHINING**
Fox's shine is one of his quickest, most useful, and most versatile moves in his arsenal.
It comes out on frame 1, deals 2-5% damage and the knock back sends at a downward angle.
It's most useful as a combo starter, combo extender, or combo ender. It's knock back makes it possible to chain shines into each other with a technique called waveshining, i'll touch on that later.
It's also very useful for gimping opponents.
(Considerable silence)
Oh, and it reflects stuff.

**SHINE CANCELLING**
Shine canceling allows you to shorten the length of a shine by jumping either on or after the 4th frame of it being out.
This makes it much quicker, safer, allows shine to be wavedashed out of, and allows for jump cancel grabs to be executed out of shine.

**SHINE GRABBING**
Shine grabbing is done by canceling a shine and grabbing immediately after you press the jump button. I don't find much use out of it but you can
throw in a shine grab as a mix-up while putting on shield pressure.

**MULTI-SHINING**
Multi-shining with fox is done by shine cancelling then shining on the first frame that your character is airborne. A technique i've found to be useful is to rock your
thumb between b and y as quick as possible, if you can't get it, just keep practicing and gaining muscle memory until you can consistently multi-shine if you so desire.
This is really only useful for styling on an opponent in midair within shine distance, or if you're a shield pressure/multi-shining wizard.

**WAVEDASHING**
Wavedashing is a form of movement which is done by jumping followed almost immediately by an air dodge angled towards the ground
which causes your character to slide and can be acted out of.

**WAVESHINING**
Waveshining is the fusion of shine cancelling and wavedashing and allows for shines to be chained into each other, which can make shine act as hit a confirm or even a kill setup.
It allows for some awesome combos and for racking up percent. It is done by shining then canceling the shine by jumping and then air dodging into the ground.

**COMBOS**
These are just some fox combos that i've found and come up with while playing but these definitely aren't the best and there are many more out there.
