The tools mentioned in video for ps controllers/some arcade sticks:
DS4 https://github.com/Jays2Kings/DS4Windows/releases - for ps4
Scp https://github.com/nefarius/ScpToolkit/releases - for ps3 - install ScpServer
A lot of programs called Joy2Key - usually recommended to try the other 2 first:
JoyToKey https://joytokey.net/
Joy2Key https://sourceforge.net/projects/joy2key/
Joy2Key but this time it's Linux https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Joy2key

[Setup]
Download Melty Blood and the latest CCCaster. Extract the ENTIRE CCCaster archive into your MBAACC folder (cccaster.v3.0.exe and MBAA.exe MUST be in the same folder when you finish).
Go into your MBAACC folder and open CCCaster.
If there are any issues booting up the game or CCCaster, whitelist the game's folder in your antivirus and in your firewall and extract the entire CCCaster archive again.
You can navigate CCCaster's menus by pressing the number key corresponding to an option or by using the arrow keys, Enter, and Esc.

[Controls]
Go to "Controls" (option 5) from CCCaster's main menu to bind your keys or buttons.
A is for light attacks, B is for medium attacks, and C is for heavy attacks.
D is for shield (a universal parry mechanic).
E is a macro button that can be used to throw, activate heat, or dodge.
FN1 and FN2 are only used in training mode; FN1 lets you control the practice dummy, and FN2 is used for resetting training mode.
A+B is a macro that can be used for dodging and dashing.
Also make sure to go into "Settings" (option 6) and change your display name so that others know who you are when you connect.

[Netplay]
To host, go to "Netplay" (CCCaster option 1), type "0", and press Enter. This will automatically find a free port for you.
You can also manually enter any free port between 1024 and 65535.
Your IP and port will be automatically copied to your clipboard, so just paste and send it to whoever you're hosting for.
To connect to someone else, select "Netplay" from CCCaster's main menu and paste your opponent's IP address with the port attached (it should look like 11.22.33.44:55555, where 11.22.33.44 is the IP and 55555 is the port).
After connecting, CCCaster will recommend rollback and delay settings for you. As a rule of thumb, each 15 milliseconds of network delay equates to either 1 frame of rollback or 1 frame of delay. Rollback should be increased first, up to a maximum of 4, and then delay should be increased. If you're not sure what to do, just press Enter twice to use the recommended settings.

[Controller troubleshooting]
If you are using an Xbox controller, press F4 while in-game through CCCaster and you should be able to bind your buttons from there.
If you are using a PlayStation controller, try DS4Windows if PS4 or ScpServer if PS3. If it still doesn't work, try Joy2Key.
If you are using an arcade stick that has different compatibility modes (such as PS3 or PS4 modes), try binding buttons through the in-game menu on all available modes (making sure to unplug the stick and restart CCCaster before each mode change) to see if any of them work. If none of them work, you might have to install Joy2Key.

[Setting delay]
If you're still confused about what settings to use for delay and rollback, try experimenting with settings that match your ping range from the following table:
ping delay rollback
0-15ms 0 2
15-30ms 0 3
30-45ms 0 4
45-60ms 0 5
45-60ms 1 4
60-75ms 1 5
60-75ms 2 4
75-90ms 2 5
90ms+ consider not playing

When you're done playing, just press Esc to quit.
Don't forget to tell your opponent "ggs" or "bgs" depending on the quality of the games.
