Memoirs of Magic Longplay (An FPS/RPG Doom mod)
4OK! It's unfair to call Memoirs of Magic a doom mod as it fits the definition about as well as Hexen or Strife. However, the almighty algorithm ain’t going to pay attention to it if I call it anything else so *BLEH*. Uh, "Doom clone" is still a thing, right?
Memoirs of Magic is an FPS/RPG created using the GZDoom engine that draws its shooter beats from Hexen and Strife, its adventuring beats from Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and its level/enemy design from the school of unspeakable pain and suffering. This game does not play fair. To win, you *will* need to hilariously bust the game at some point (Not unlike a rogue-lite really).
Anyway, I'll be rolling the Hawkman knight for this playthrough as I have yet to beat the game as him. Being the most handsome motherflocker in the room (as well as donning the underpants of command), he's able to get hefty discounts on all purchases which allow us to buy stat upgrades far easier and faster than what would otherwise be possible. The downside being that birdbrain is in fact, a birdbrain. His starting Magic and ammo pool is non-existent but that's nothing a little bit of capitalism can't solve.

Just a quick note: I’m using my trusty Timbers of Heaven v4.00 sound-font because reasons. The MIDI does sound like it was written for the Microsoft GS Wavetable in mind because it actually sounds respectably good believe or not.
P.P.S: I know I “missed” the fight with Typhon but there is a reason. Defeating him and making a pact like with the other dragons locks you into a “bad/cliffhanger” ending post-credits. The dialog with the final boss also changes a little bit noting his dismay that you quite literately made a deal with the devil just to get at him.
