5Wow, it's hot today, 34 degrees!!
Anyway, welcome to another t20p Challenge, this week it's CapCom's Mercs. A game I was aware of, during the Spectrum and C654 era, but I never played or saw in the arcades, and to top it off, it's a direct sequel to Commando, Well, I definitely should have played it then!
Released in 1990, it adopts the same isometric view, but this time you can move the screen in any direction as long as the path allows. There are a number of differences to its predecessor, in this version you can have up to 3 players at once, you have a weapon system, which you can also power up for better damage etc and also a more effective super bomb, which in most cases, kills everything on screen.
A decent sequel but it is dam hard!
