It is a sequel to the 1985 arcade video game Commando.
Commando was also on the NES, released in 1985 as well.

After Commando came out in the Arcade.
Just six months later, a movie came out called Commando,
starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The movie is unrelated to the game.

I knew about this game but never played it before.
A solid game from Capcom.
I'm not sure if other characters in the game play the same or not.
