Apparently the seagull painting at the end room is a developer in-joke.
Other bird references: The seagull painting mentioned above, Phantom makes bird noises, Sparks’s VA’s most recent role before Dirty Bomb was playing as Ornifex the Crow from Dark Souls 2, Ranked employs bird motifs in the splash art and Ranked trinkets have bird wings, Overground’s “Ye Olde Cock” pub, and “Play Turkey” once being used in place of “Play Dirty”. It’s kinda weird since Splash Damage has a thing for tapirs, not birds.
