Welcome everybody! To Let's play Meridian Squad 22, part 2! Today we will need to find resources needed to fix our space ship the Raptor but first things first, let’s first ask the crew what they think about the warm welcome the locals of Meridian have gave us. You also need to know as the commander of Meridian Squad 22 that Jonas – one of the crew members. Is loyal to the council back on Earth. For now boti Sandra and Reid feel he may be behind the problems with communications with Earth. and they apparently do something fishy. They may even me involved in the disappearance of the citizens on Meridian and the hostile welcome on Meridian of Squad 22. But for now we take control over Jonas and leave the Raptor to search for resources needed for repairs in mission 2 – Subversion. Before we start mission 2 in Meridian Squad 22 we can choose which base we want to use. We can make a defence attempt or offence but that won’t limit us at all. Its better to pick the defence base if You aim for the achievements in Meridian Squad 22. If You pick the defence base then from the start You will be able to use the base Crusader for the achievement: Crusader, ready to move! - Own a Crusader in the second mission. The enemy will use Chimeras, the terminator troops from the previous missions, Guardians which are an improved version of the chimeras and ships. The ships are the least of our problems as they can’t attack the buildings. The Goal in mission 2 – Subversion of Meridian Squad 22 is to gather resources but why stop on that when we can try to destroy the enemy outpost and main base at the same time and take the resources from there aswell to repair the Raptor ? First of we need to defend, Leave the crusaders at the right entrance of the base and take the remaining chimeras, marines and Jonas to the south. Build another mine there to increase the amount of gathered resources. Now its time for another achievement in Meridian Squad 22 of mission 2. But for that You can’t waste the reasearch points from mission 1 of Meridian Squad 22. Develop fighters and gain achievement Fighter, reporting for duty! - Produce a Hawk Fighter in the second mission. With them mission 2 turns in to a walk in a park. Make around 7 fighters and order them to focus fire on one target and just watch now the green bar will melt – fighters are one of the most overpower units at the beginning of the Meridian Squad 22. First clear the lake from the ships so You won’t have to worry about anything. With that out of the way send the fighters to the south main base of the defenders of Meridian. There deal with the power Generators - Meridian Squad 22 follows a simple rule No power no Defence. Take down the turrets and send the army from the base to deal with the production buildings in the mean time send the fighters to the other side of mission 2 and make sure to clear the turrets there. After that the game is just a straight hill down – Move to the outpost and clear it quickly. After that Jonas will inform You that the enemy have been defeated take Your time like in the previous mission of Meridian Squad 22 and gather all the canisters.
