Today was a fairly relaxed day which started with our usual buffet breakfast and then a swim in the hotel pool. We then went out to Parkway Parade yet again for lunch at the Hawker centre.
Today we visited the Merlion Park, home to Singapores half fish half lion the Merlion. The statue sprays water from it's mouth into Marina Bay sprayed out had the body of a fish and head of a lion and is the national symbol for Singapore.
It was an extremely warm day with lots of people out and about taking photos and selfies. We also decided to have a cruise on the bay on one of the tourist boats which takes you along the Singapore river and explains the many attractions and gives you an insight into the history of Singapore and it's humble beginnings from a fishing town to a massive business city.
After that we walked along the Esplanade Bridge to Octoburst! Which is a children's festival held annually every year which had many activities and shows to keep the little ones entertained.
Afterwards we grabbed dinner and then made our way across the Double Helix Bridge - Now simply known as the Helix Bridge based on DNA, to the outside of Marina Bay Sands to check out Spectra - a music, water and light show on the bay that plays at night time and is free for guests to watch.
