How to set up a NEW META ACCOUNT and say goodbye to facebook.
They are finally here lads. Meta Accounts have dropped and it allows your to say goodbye to a Facebook account on your Meta Quest Device! Im going to show you how to do it in this quick video so make sure to subscribe.

This can be done on a PC or on any mobile device but first you want to go into the description and click on this link - meta.com/websetup and you want to log in with your current profile. Now bear in mind if you are still using an oculus account you are under no obligation to do this until January 2023 but if you are using a Facebook account then you have to do this sooner rather than later. once you are logged in it will ask you to set up your meta account. click next and then it will give you the option to still use Facebook or remove it from your device. That option is entirely up to you and it will tell you exactly what you will lose by choosing each option. When you select your preferred option it may ask you to update your password by sending a confirmation code to your email. grab the code and input it into the confirmation box and click continue then just set up a new password and click next and then review the options on screen and click finish account setup. You will now see a screen confirming that your Oculus profile is now your horizon profile. After this you will be asked to set up a name and that name can be any of your choice. Click next and then as friends are changing to followers you will get options for how you want people to follow you. Once again this is entirely your choice. Click review and accept and continue when you are happy. Now when you open your Oculus mobile app you will need to log in with an email address and the new password you set up. And that's it!
