I’m So Meta Even This [DATA EXPUNGED]

The SCP Foundation website is, in my opinion, one of the most interesting and creative repositories of experimental writing and world-building to come out of the internet. This video is my examination of the ways the website’s writers use metafiction and metafictional techniques in service of its horror.

For further reading I highly recommend the SCPDeclassified subreddit, which has in depth dissections and discussions on a lot of complicated, esoteric or just plain weird articles, frequently including input from the authors. They’ve also done an excellent in-depth history of the foundation website, which can be found here:
