NPCAP may be required for network troubleshooting:

====================
Emulator Setup
====================

1. Download Zip File from Google Drive Link and Extract with a file extractor such as 7-Zip or Winrar
2. Add the PlayStation 2 bios into the "bios" folder that you can find inside the main folder of PCSX2
3. On the PCSX2 emu, go to "Config, Network and HDD Settings", set the "Ethernet" checkmark, then set the Ethernet device to your systems current network adapter.
4. Boot your copy of MGS3 Subsistence Disc 2 iso
5. Go into Online Mode and select "Play using detailed settings"
6. Connect to network, select the MGO Network and then create an account
7. It will probably say cannot create game in current network environment that’s normal
8. You can now join games but not host them currently.

====================
Network Adapter - Troubleshooting Steps
====================
1. Go and download the NPCAP 1.60 Installer from: https://npcap.com/
2. On the PCSX2 emu, go to "Config, Network and HDD Settings", set the "Ethernet" checkmark, then set the ethernet device to either PCAP Bridged or PCAP Switched (see which works for you) and then select Ethernet device (again see which one works for you)

====================
Hosting Setup
====================

1. Under Detailed Network Settings go to edit network config
2. Edit your settings and put your IP info in there (DNS should remain the same) if unsure what your IP is type (CMD) into your search bar near the windows button and press enter
3. Once open type in “ipconfig” and you’ll see all your info there
4. I would recommend putting the IP as 1-10 different from what your computer’s actual IP is as you’ll get IP Conflict errors potentially and not able to use internet in anything other than PCSX2
5. Once you’ve went through and all that has succeeded, you’ll need to access your router’s setting and port forward the address you put in that was one off from your computer’s IP address
6. Every modem is different. There are guides on how to port forward per each router model here:
https://portforward.com/router.htm
7. Port Forward the IP to any port ranging from 5730-5739 under UDP/TCP if possible but do UDP if TCP is not possible
8. You should be able to host now ----
