About the Metal Gear Franchise:
Hideo Kojima guided the Metal Gear franchise from its inception in 1987 until 2015's Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. The game designer departed with publisher Konami under bad circumstances, leaving many fans (myself included) to boycot new titles that fundamentaly lack the ideas of the franchise and look like easy cashgrabs that simply use the MG name.
The Metal Gear franchise (up to that point) stands as one of the most iconic and beloved stealth and action game series ever released thanks to its alluring writing and tactical gameplay. Beneath the stellar character designs lies a complex storyline that unravels across a series of games.

That beeing said, "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance" was released in 2013 and still belongs to Hideo Kojimas legacy. Its a spin-off from PlatinumGames and also the last in the main Metal Gear chronology.
Its gameplay diverged from the usual MG stealth-shooter to a new action based style the likes of Devil May Cry and Bayonetta.
As Raiden always was my favourite character in the MG franchise i am pumped to play this and spend some more time with my fav nice and quirky ninja-cyborg!
