After the relative disaster that was my first time playing Metal Gear Solid 1, I jumped straight on into my blind experience with its sequel, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty! And like… it sure is more Metal Gear Solid, for good and for ill. Kojima has taken full advantage of the progress of hardware, figured out how gamefeel can work in the 21st century, and doubled down on Crazy Nonsense. Does this re-hook me on the series, or turn me even more off of wanting any more of the adventures of Snake and the gang? You’ll just have to keep watching and find out!
