My goal with this video was to show the stark contrast in quality between emulated versions of the Neo-Geo. While I enjoy playing my AES I do like how the PS3 (Neo-Geo Station) looks on a 1080p screen with scanlines.

Sorry I wasn't able to do this a bit better.
The differences in person are much easier to see, but hopefully you can see (and hear) a difference in quality.

Stage 1 of METAL SLUG 1 on starting with the Neo-Geo Station emulator via the PS3.
Settings: Japanese (Blood), 1080p (4x3 aspect), Scanlines: On
0:00 - 1:40 is Neo-Geo Station on the PS3

1:45 - 3:16 is the Neo-Geo X via the included HDMI cable

Please note, I was unable to get the NGX to output a standard 4:3 signal and my display doesn't allow to force aspect ratios. Maybe there is a way, I don't know..
Either way it's not the problem here.
The problem is the inaccurate colors, hazy,blurry SD output of the Neo-Geo X.

With some work perhaps the emulator settings can be corrected. VSYNC should be turned on
and the aspect ratio should be corrected.
