Meteoro Striker: 2 Minutes of Gameplay (Saess)
Saess: Every second Screen Clear unlocks a bonus power-up. 60% for Level 1, 35% for Level 2, 5% for Level 3.
My personal thoughts on Saess: This character is a bit interesting to say the least. Created by the same guy who made Intelek, Saess was designed as a "joke" avatar, one that's sole purpose is to have as low quality as possible but still be passable. Did he succeed? Let's find out. The ability hardly needs explaining, every second screen clear grants a bonus power-up, sorta like a slower Starlite in that regard. However, if you watch the video first, you may notice that I never actually showed the ability off, and that's because screen clearing is a lot harder than it looks. The matches are *just* enough to not clear on the first match, so you'd need to try playing like you would Magnitar or #79 to pull this off, however, that's a bit easier said than done since accidental matches are prone to occurring. So instead of trying for the screen clear, I find it much more efficient (and overall enjoyable) to instead play Saess like a juggler, similar to Caldaer or Celestorii though not exactly. By making matches quickly under a really fast pace, you can score a lot of points surprisingly quickly. It's nowhere near the best at scoring, but it's certainly not the worst. Furthermore, this avatar is definitely better for single player than it is multiplayer, as this one is easily punished and shut down on higher tiers of play. So is this the bottom of the barrel? I personally don't think so. It's not abysmal and there are avatars with certainly worse gimmicks or assets that make them more annoying to use. I certainly don't put this as low as pre-buff Nift, not even close. That said, this is a decent pick for casual play, though not worth it in competitive play. Thanks to a little thing called the "underdog effect", I have a better affinity with characters in games that are considered lower tier, so I may play with this one a bit more down the line.
