This is my 1% speed run of metroid fusion in 0:50 in-game time on 03/23/2014, which beats the game as quickly as possible while getting only one missile tank. Given that I haven't worked on this category very much, I'm surprised I got 0:50 this early. The entire run was really good up until the spitter hall before space jump, then it started falling apart a bit. Luck all around was fantastic besides Yakuza and Ridley. This run has a VERY LOW 0:50 in-game time, so a 0:49 is easy.

I lost almost a minute in the yakuza segment from yakuza and the spitter hall, and several more seconds in lower sector 4 as well; adding on minor mistakes, I think my goal for this category will be 0:48.

One missile tank is collected in 1%, which is intended to be unskippable. This missile tank is named by the community "BOB", and is in sector 3, before obtaining super missiles. It is possible to skip this (notoriously called BOB skip) but is ridiculously difficult, has only been recently done by a few people. It isn't very viable at all in single-segment runs, so 1% is still a common category to run.
