Doing this skips the short OOB navigation seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61goagsSrUo which, optimally done, is not all that slower. I had previously thought that breaking out of spin caused this specific ejection to happen. As of now I think that the cause is getting BOB skip on the last frame possible and holding jump. It seems that tapping jump for ~1 frame will drop you down the crumble block. While getting this is faster, it does seem to be frame perfect. On the upside, if you are early, you get the normal clip into the wall and if you're late you don't pick up the missile.
