Metroid Fusion will soon be added to the Game Boy Advance library on the Nintendo Switch Online service, according to a recent announcement by Nintendo.
Starting March 9, subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier will have access to the game, which completes the entire mainline 2D Metroid series on Nintendo Switch.
This includes Metroid, Metroid 2: Return of Samus, Super Metroid, and Metroid Fusion, all available in their original versions, as well as the Switch-exclusive fifth game, Metroid Dread.
The recent addition of the Metroid Prime Remastered, a reissue of the 2002 GameCube classic, further highlights Nintendo's renewed focus on the Metroid series.
This comes after the company added Game Boy and Game Boy Advance collections to Nintendo Switch Online last month, featuring popular titles such as Tetris and Zelda.
As Nintendo continues to strengthen its commitment to the franchise, fans eagerly await Retro Studios' upcoming Metroid Prime 4.
