In this video, Samus goes to a Navigation Room, where she learns more really, really bad news. The Federation wants to try experimenting with the X and SA-X. Sure, the X are parasites that kill every life form they come in contact with, but the Federation thinks they might be useful.
Samus is apparently the only one who is taking the X's significant threat to the galaxy seriously. She talks to the computer about what needs to be done and about his namesake, Adam, who once sacrificed his life so others might live.
The Computer Adam then takes on the personality of the real Adam and orders Samus to chance the station's orbit so it crashes into SR-388. That way, both the planet and the station will be vaporized, killing every X in existence and saving the galaxy.
