Metroid Fusion Part 21 - Awakening from the Nightmare
2You remember that creepy shadow that appeared early on in Sector 5? Yeah well, that thing got corrupted by a X-parasite, and is now on a rampage. This monstrosity...it only seems suitable to call it the Nightmare.
The battle itself is pretty tough. The creature loves to float into Samus. I find it easier to just go on a heads-on attack early in the battle, instead of worrying about damage. You can end the first part relatively quickly that way. The second part is more of a hassle. You have to lure the Nightmare around the room until it gets in a good position. Jump on the side wall, and it will start a slow maneuver towards you. Unloading on it now will dish out massive damage.
Defeating the bio-weapon provides the final suit upgrade. The Gravity Suit is a Metroid standby since Super Metroid, and it allows access through water and lava.
