This is a video of me protecting the demolition troopers as we head towards the Pirate Homeworld seed.
I've even managed to keep all troopers alive this time around :)
You'll also see Hypermode spamming TO THE MAX.
Then again, it's the best way to keep them all alive since we're essentially the meat shield majority of the time.

I also found it easiest to let yourself get corrupted before fighting a large group. That way, your phazon meter will refill rapidly as they attack you, which in turn will allow you to shoot them without entering hypermode again.

Oh and yes I skip the cutscenes to reduce recording time. As always these cutscenes can be seen in my walkthrough.
