I've been trying to get this to happen again with no success. When it happened I was jumping up against a wall. I had the random light show occur and then it suddenly stopped. I couldn't move while this glitch was happening. Sometimes I would lose health (probably from the phaazoid), but then it stopped. I wanted to see what would happen when I died.

Since I couldn't lose anymore health, I went to the map screen to take a look. I pressed Z to zoom and it reset the game instead. Strange.
