Finally, one of my all time favourite Bosses on Metroid Prime. The Omega Pirate.

Luckily you are able to Scan this beast while it is in hibernation in its vessle. The Omega Pirate breaks out and attacks Samus.

This guy is huge so he covers up a lot of ground plus there are broken pools of Phazon scattered around the floor and its very easy to back into one while avoiding the Omega Pirate.

Even though this guy is said to be hard, beating him is actually easy. First off target one of the Omega Pirate's Phazon Armour pieces. He has 4 in total, 1 on each arm and 1 on each leg. You can shatter them instantly by using a Super Missile but you'll want to save those so just use Charged Plazma Shots.
Omega Pirate will over use his Energy Orb so you'll have to stall around and wait for him to use his Ground Quake before having a chance to shoot at him.
When all 4 pieces are destroyed the Omega Pirate will call form a load of Troopers and turn invisible. Use the X-Ray Visor to locate the Omega Pirate regenerating in a pool of Phazon. Use your Super Missiles on him for the best effect.

Its possible to kill the Omega Pirate in 1 round with this tactic but i let him live to show you just how intense this Boss fight can get. and im on Normal Mode. Good thing about the Omega Pirate is that his Ground Quake actually hurts the Troopers.

Once the Omega Pirate dies he'll fall on Samus! after the Omega Pirate oozes out Phazon and explodes Samus is wearing the Phazon Suit!

Now i have noticed that her reaction to this corrupted change is different in the UK version to the USA version. Samus will shiver in the USA version while on the UK version she looks at her armour as if to say "WTF?!"
