Welcome to part 80 of my Metroid Prime Walkthrough. I'll be starting the majority of my videos from each save point.

--The only thing left to do is gain access to the impact crater by returning all the artifacts.
However upon restoring all the artifacts we'll meet a special someone! And that someone is Meta Ridley!

The next battle begins as Ridely destroys some of the statues. He has two stages, flying and grounded. Of course now he's flying so the only real way to deal with him is by shooting him with charged plasma beams or super missiles. His weak spot is his heart.

He'll come back, shoot missiles, and stomp on the ground and FIRE HIS LAZOR xD There's a quick way to end this, and that's by Boost balling into Ridley while he's grounded. This will automatically cause him to lose his wings and enter the 2nd phase of this battle.

Oh and by the way I realize that I do a lot of pointless shooting, but that's too break up the monotony since I can't do anything anyway while he's flying around.

After he loses his wings, he'll do one of two things. Shoot lasers or try to ram right into you. When he opens his mouth, a charged shot will stun him and reveal his weak spot.

Another trick here, is to use the wave buster. This only applies in the NTSC (North American) version of the game. When doing this, the wave buster will auto lock on and basically turn this into a 5 second battle. It locks onto his mouth and then his chest, basically giving Ridley absolutely no time to recover and depletes his HP rapidly to 0.

I battled the long way of course as I said this isn't a speed run. I'll just play this whole battle out.
