review. This game is a interesting take on the spin off idea for a video game
series. Most popular series are well known for hundreds of spin offs with Mario
and sonic standing out. Metroid Prime Pinball does seem to break the mold a
little bit. Instead of a poorly made game thrown together just to make money it
seems. The game has a lot of substance to it and aside from just being pinball
actually borrows elements from the Metroid Prim universe. Things such as the
fact that levels are modeled after levels from the first game in the series area
very nice touch. The pinball elements work well but any elements add to this.
This includes that you have hit points, the ability to drop power bombs and even
use super bombs. Bonuses and other modes can be unlocked to cause various
enemies appear including metroids and space pirates. Ways to fight then can
range from running into them as a ball to a shoot out mode where Samus stands up
and you need to gun down waves of opponents. The objective of most missions is
the collection of artifacts. End parts even include boss fights. Gameplay can be
very fast paced and hectic which keeps you on your toes and makes things a lot
of fun. I honestly really approve of the effort which the game makers did here.
Music is fitting and the graphics are enjoyable enough to look at. In the end I
think that any fan of the series will be pleased like this. None metroid fans
might not appreciate this as much so I would probably suggest to keep away unless
you're looking for a game which is a good spin on the traditional pinball game.
