This video covers scan dashing from the edge of the water to the item ledge (this is the strat I do personally and highly recommend learning), as well as slope jumping underwater to reach the item. You can also use Grapple Beam to reach the item ledge if you have it equipped.

The scan dash method can only be performed on a North American 1.00 version of Metroid Prime.

Required Items: Missiles, Morph Ball
Skips: Space Jump Boots, Gravity Suit
