Casual mode is the standard mode for speedruns because it's faster. Many people, including myself, who have done several, several speedruns of the original GameCube version, the difficulty doesn't really make runs harder for us. It just makes them longer.

I play with Pointer controls on a Pro Controller, because I used to speedrun the Wii version of this game and it feels natural to me. Also, being able to aim without adjusting my point of view is a huge benefit in my opinion.

Second finished run with a completely different route that I haven't timed. it feels like a nice route, because you have Plasma and Power Bombs for Thardus.
This run is still very bad, and has several, several minutes of improvement to make.
I lost about 3 or 4 minutes on Triclops, died on IBBF once, forgot Elder and had to go back for it, and I just played super sloppy and made several small mistakes everywhere. Extremely beatable.
